ent with our junior team, we make it, more or less, on time for the meet and snake our way down to Battersea Park for today's friendly. We're already in kit, out on the pitch and waiting for the other half of Sandmere to show up, which allows us a decent time for a vigorous warm up, a piss in the bushes and a few minutes to marvel at the full-on fairground and dog show going on along the touch line. These pre-match kickabouts can always be a valuable ingredient to our great forays into South London. A good laugh. A time to gossip and mess about. A time for banter and piss taking. A little bit of fun before the seriousness of the match explodes across the pitch and the shouts and screams and tackles and barging and charging aboutsqueezes your chest and gives you that gorgeous adrenalin fix.
